HAREM HOTSHOT [02 May 2008|09:20pm]
 2 May 2008, Friday

I was doing spring cleaning this morning when i found this story I had written in my secondary school days. As I read through, I still can't

believe I have actually written it. It was hmm... you just read the story and you will know whether it is good or not.

Title: Harem Hotshot

My best buddy, John and I were in California for a one-week vacation.  My parents had won two free coupons at an exclusive health club in

California.  As both of them were not free to go due to their busy schedules, they had asked John and I to go instead. Both of us skipped

with delight as we thanked my parents happily.  However little did we know that our vacation turned out to be a lifelong unforgettable

experience...

"Whee.. this is so much fun!" shouted John as he gave a cry of exultation when he dived into the swimming pool. It was a blindingly hot day

in California and the humidity in the air was stifling. Both of us were at the Orange Tee health club.  Thanks to our coupons, we could try out

all the facilities.

"Exercise machines, sauna, swimming pool. My life will be a bed of roses if I could join this exclusive health club. Who knows in 6 months

time, I'll have a svelte figure!" I said to John as I joined him in the swimming pool.  Sighing to himself, he replied, "Yeah, right! You'll

look like Jessica Alba and I'll end up like Brad Pitt!"  Hearing his comment, I playfully splash water onto him. We swarm for another one hour

before we called it quits. Both of us agreed to meet each other at the lobby entrance half an hour later.

Twenty-five minutes later, I was done. I felt refreshed after a nice, long shower. Dressed in white tank top and red cargo pants, I walked to

the lobby entrance to wait for John. Unfortunately, thirty minutes had passed and there was still no sign of him!

Feeling impatient, I marched straight to the men's locker room door and knocked on it three times. The door was opened slightly. Before I

could open my mouth, someone popped out his head. It was John!

"Thank god it's you, Ann! I'm having some troubles here," whispered John.

"What is it, John?" I asked. As he stepped out of the room, I raised my brow as I took in his so-called 'attire'. He was still in his swimming

trunks!!!

"My clothes! Somebody swiped my clothes from my locker as I have forgotten to lock it!" John shouted.

"Oh dear!" I answered.

"I can't go out in the street LIKE THIS! People will laugh at me!" John shrieked.

"Wait, I know. We will complain to the manager," I replied. However, the manager said he could not help us because we were on freebies.

Even when John asked for something to wear, the manager just rejected him out flat.

"He is so arrogant!" I thought to myself. A wave of futile rage swept over me. Luckily, John sensed my anger and tried to restrain me. If not

for him, I would have gave that manager a tight slap!

I grumbled to myself as we left the reception counter, "That cheap, low-lying, arrogant man..." I paused in mid-sentence as something had

caught my eye. Turning to John, I said,"Wait here for me. I have an idea."

Without a moments delay, I ran to the laundry area and asked if I could purchase a bed sheet. After paying for it, I raced back to John who

looked at me blankly.  I told him we could disguise him as an Arabian. However, when John looked into the mirror after wrapping himself

with the bed sheet, he said,"Ann, this outfit with my face is not going to work!" True enough, with his freckled face, who was going to believe

he was an Arabian?

On the spur of the moment, an idea came to my mind. I took out a white handkerchief from my sling bag and told John to wear it as a veil.

John was about to protest but when he saw my eyes flashed angrily, he merely nodded his head.

Finally, we were out of the health club. While we were walking along the bustling street, John made me swear to secrecy not to tell anyone

about his unfortunate incident. I laughed at his serious face and promised him.

"See? This disguise of mine is working. Nobody is even looking at you. You're just another foreign visitor," I chattered happily to him. John

just rolled his eyes at me.

Shortly after, we came across a busy road. We were about to cross the road when suddenly we heard a loud SCREECHH!!! It was a

screeching sound of brakes. We turned our head and our breath were caught. It was a long sleek, black limousine. As we stood there

marvelling at the car, a window screen was wind down from the passenger seat.

A handsome Arabian young man, with bright sparkling eyes, looked out and gazed at us. Just then, he yelled at his chaffeur in a loud and

dictational voice, "That beautiful woman! She makes me so homesick! I must have her!" The chauffeur answered, "Yes, Your Highness."

Within seconds, the chauffeur stepped out from the limousine. He had a surly face with a bull-neck, overhanging temples, and he was

wearing a turban on his head. He ran straight to us and grabbed hold of John. We were caught by surprise! I tried to explain to the chauffeur

about John, but he just ignored me. He carried John who was struggling to the limousine. Poor John was shouting at me for help, but I

could not stop them in time.

"STOP! COME BACK! HE'S NOT WHAT HE SEEMS!" I shouted frantically but the limousine had already drove off. I looked around for

somebody to help me, but there was none. I felt waves of helplessness as I watched the limousine disappeared out of sight.

"You mean SHE is actually a HE!" a voice boomed behind me. I turned around and saw a young girl around my age standing in front of me.

She looked like a model who had stepped out of the covers of a glossy fashion magazine. She had beautiful blond hair that cascaded down
her shoulders, a delicately shaped face, large soft eyes and the most dazzling smile I had ever seen.

"Sigh! It's a long story. You see, they had kidnapped my best buddy, John! Did you see that limo? I asked her anxiously.

"Whoa, hold on. We haven't even introduce ourselves yet. My name is Melody Cabot. What's yours?" quipped Melody.

"Ann Smith," I responded and continued, "Did you..." Cutting me in mid-sentence, Melody laughed,"My God! You're so tense! Just relax.

Yeah, I saw it and recognised it too!"

"The millionaire spoilt brat of Sheik Ahmad Moroo!" Melody said sarcastically. I could tell that she must had distinctly disliked that 'spoilt

brat'.

"Then do you know where I can find him?" I asked.

"Sure, the brat is going to high school here! He's living in the Old Dutch Colonial Mansion! Want me to show you the way?" Melody offered. I

nodded my head and thanked her profusely. She told me we had to run to the 'brat's' house which was just a few blocks away.

About half-an-hour later, we had reached our destination. The Dutch Colonial Mansion was a well-built, characterless modern house. As

we ran up the stairs to the entrance of the mansion, Melody turned to me and asked,"By the way, why was your friend, John, dressed in a

sheet?"

"Sorry, I can't tell you." I replied. Melody tried to hide her disappointment by merely shrugged it off.

Within seconds, we had reached the main door panting furiously. We pressed the door bell. It was the chauffeur who opened the door for

us. He asked solemnly," Yes?"

"We must see your master! He is in terrible danger!" I cried to the startled chaffeur. As quick as lightning, he shouted for his master.

Instantly like magic, the Arabian followed by John swiftly came to us. He asked anxiously,"What is the danger?"

"That beautiful lady you've er... acquired, she is very sick!" I replied hurriedly.

"WHAT!!!" he screamed at the top of his voice. Both Melody and I tried to contain our laughter when we saw his reaction.

"She suffers from this dreaded desert crud! The hair becomes red and the face SPOTTED!" I exclaimed. Straightaway he took the veil off

from John. The next moment came an unexpected earth-shattering scream.

"ARRGH! The girl speaks true! GET HER out of here!" he bellowed.

Without hesitation, Melody and I grabbed hold of John and dashed out of the Mansion before the chauffeur could throw John out.

Later, the three of us celebrated our victory at Starbucks cafe. At the same time, I introduced my new friend, Melody, to John who kept on

thanking her.

"You know John, that's something I must say. With that outfit, you sure look like the Queen of the harem," Melody remarked.

"Yeah and this proves that my disguise was perfect," I chipped in.

Exasperated by our remarks, John glared at us," Will you two please knock it off, I've never been so humiliated in all my life!"

"Hey, cheer up! We still have the rest of our week to enjoy," I said happily.

"Oh man! What if I meet that freako again!" John groaned.

That statement made both Melody and I collapsed in hysterics as tears of laughter streamed down our faces.

Life has been good... [06 Apr 2008|11:49am]
6 April 2008, Sunday

Hi, I'mmm... back after a long period of hibernation of not blogging.  Haha... here's a RARE entry from me...

Some Updates during my holidays:

4 April 2008, Fri

Meet up with Rina to have lunch at SingPost. We had hot milo with soft-boiled eggs and

traditional kaya toast. Mmmm... the food reminded me of the time during my Industrial

Attachment during ITE days. Every  morning, before work, Rina and I would have our

breakfast in such fashion. Those were the good old days.. Lol.

After lunch, we headed to East Coast Park to cycle. We rented a bike for 2 persons

as I can't cycle (pathetic right?). However, at least Rina can do all the work to

balance the bike and all I need to do is just pedal. Haha... it did work out well indeed

end.  Finally, I can cycle even if it's temporary only! Thanks Rina!

Some pics took at east coast:

lovely sandcastle, we found at the beach

At the bedok jetty, I saw this brave soul trying to paddle across the sea not a boat but just a piece of raft. Amazing!

This scenic beauty is so calm and soothing...

Hey gals so sorry I took so long to upload the pics. Cuz i've been really busy with school work and projects. So sorry =( Anyway, on the 26 Dec 2007 we went to meet at Bugis. Supposedly to meet at 6pm but i couldn't make so change it to 6.30pm. By the time i left the house it was already 6.15pm, to my horror I realised I'm gonna be late AGAIN! (Arggh... why can't change this BAD habit of my????) Hence, I decided to take a cab down and managed to reach on time. However, god choose to make a joke on me, Trish was terribly late - she lost her way to Bugis. Luckily, Rina came early so I wasn't alone.  So finally at  7.30pm we got together and ate Siam Kitchen. The food was not bad and pretty crowded too.

Meet Up With Trish & her lovely friend, Surya [17 Dec 2007|09:50pm]
[ mood | cheerful ]

I think my blog has stagnant from the lack of my entries haha... Don't know why? I simply can't find the time to blog. Most of the time I will be either studying for a test, doing a quiz online, doing research or doing projects. Lately, my life is all about PROJECTS, PROJECTS AND ENDLESS PROJECTS AND EXAMS!!!! Phew! now I'm glad is my 2 weeks vacation where I don't have to worry when's the due date for the upcoming projects. I feel like I'm drowning in them....

For the past few months, I realise as a Poly student, our lives are so routine as though we are already programmed like this long ago in our system. Everyday, I wake up early to go to school till evening, then go home have dinner, relax a bit and try to finish the endless projects or busying preparing for presentations or exams, then sleep at 1am or 2am or 3am till the next morning where the whole process will repeat again. Oh man! we're like robots with no social life. Seriously, with a timetable like this where practically everyday I end at 6pm. It so damn tiring! BUT BUT, our parents just can't seem to understand our stresses and our problems. They think being a teenager is easy rite? No way ok! We too have feelings and our struggles but they just can't sense it. Arrggh... for example: if I just want to sleep a bit later in the morning, my mom will deem me as being lazy whichI am really tired to the core. And if I tried to explain to her, she will just shake it off my explanation as an excuse for laziness. Damn! How to please them? I'm so tired ok...

Anyway, today went to meet up with Trish and her friend Surya (also from Bishan ITE, Accounting Dept, whom Trish insisted that Surya and I have met before, which in actual fact we never did... *Haha*) at woodlands mrt. I was accompanying both of them to Republic Poly Open House. The school building is fantastic, very modern and futuristic . However, I found the open house at RP wasn't really happening as compared to other Polys' open house. It was pretty quiet and there weren't any welcome committee to welcome us. But overall, it was pretty ok I guess. After that, went to woodlands shopping centre to walk around as we found 4pm too early to go home. Then decided to eat as we realised we didn't have our lunch yet. Hence, we went to Pizza Hut (cuz someone offered to treat us... so generous of her!!! Hees.. Thanks for the treat, Trish! =)) We ordered curry meat pizza which was simply delicious.

After that, we walk around the mall and took some pics which are shown below:

Trish & Surya with their HUGE Mickey hands

Hey Everybody! Do the wave thingy =)

It looks reminds me of a fairyland.  Simply breathtaking! ('',)

Doesn't the Chirstmas tree look gorgeous!!!

Trish & Me

Me & Surya

We couldn't took a nice shot of the 3 of us so end up I chose this pic cuz it's so funny... On my right, Trish is like all smiles and on my left, Surya is blissfully asleep... ZZZzzz... Haha =) Tis pic is my favourite pic of the day...

Left my Dog Kacey... and I miss her already... [02 Nov 2007|10:48pm]
[ mood | anxious ]

This morning, woke up at 7am to prepare for school. I was still feeling so sleepy. It's like I can never rest enough. Before my eyes can doze off to la-la land, it's time to wake up already. It just so unfair! Anyway, my first lecture was Macroeconomics. Meet Eslpeth at the bus-stop but the rest was late so we made our way to the lecture hall first. Surprisingly, both of us were the first to reach. None of our classmates were there. Soon, Mabel and Chee Yan came. Also met Rina, she's always one of those early birds for lecture.

Just as the lecture was about to start, I just realised Renie got my book and she's not coming for lecture. Luckily there was no graphs to draw for this chapter, just underlining. After lecture, we went to Xue Qi's house to chill. Guess what? We had 5 HOURS of BREAK today! cuz there's no Comm Skill lesson just PBL consultation with teacher. And someone seemed to be really enjoying going to Xue Qi's house... Haha...

25 oct 2007, at xue qi's house

25 oct 2007, at xue qi's house

today 2 nov 2007
She really treat it as though it's her house.... hehe... And she still doesn't know tat she's on Gotcha!!! Haha...

So at xue qi's house, we had lunch and watch our favourite drama serial - "Around People's Park". Then we discussed for our FILA chart for Marketing. Surprisingly, we managed to finish our FILA chart by 3pm. So we packed up and went back to school for our PBL presentation. Boy it was a breeze and time seemed to fly passed real fast. Luckily, the teacher was quite satisfied with our research findings and say we were one of the best. Haha... looks our effort did pay off in the end.

As my family and I are going to KL tml, we left our darling dog, Kacey at my grandma's house for the weekend. Boy! This time she was super smart. Somehow she got this idea that we are sort of 'abandoning' her at someone's house. By the time, we reached my grandma's house, Kacey refused to enter the entrance door. She just stayed put on the ground - telling you that she doesn't want to stay there. Regardless as how pititful look she gave us, we still had no choice but to leave her there. As we got into the car, we saw her running to the gate and whinning away. She looked so lost that we nearly want to turn back and bring her with us. But we can't....

Good nite everyone!

[ mood | cheerful ]

Today, Rina and I went to Hougang Mall to visit Trish at her customer service counter. Boy! we actually wanted to give her a surprise, but end up she saw us first. Haha... it's like so long never see her. When we saw her, she looked really gorgeous that day! Really Trish! I meant it. Anyway, our main purpose was to use up the ice-cream vouchers Trish gave us the last time. We had a wonderful time goofing down our ice-cream at Gelare Cafe.

Busy busy week [24 Oct 2007|11:29pm]
[ mood | awake ]

Been so tired lately tis week. After 2 long months of school holidays, school finally reopens. So fast ok! I didn't even get to enjoy my holidays yet. But still, i got my pay. Haha... a lot of money! $$$$$ The highest so far I have earned. I did manage to do some shopping with my classmate, espleth at Far East Plaza before the school term starts.

It was pretty crowded with the on-going sales. Some of the prices seriously slashed down so much. I had so much fun trying all the shoes. Haha... I think some of the shop keepers are quite irritated with me. But hey, I'm after all the customer. Heh..heh...

On the other hand, I did learn some valuable lessons during the holidays and also experiencing some emotional moments too. The most important lesson I feel is to learn to treasure your loved ones before it is too late especially my mom (even though at times, she does try to drive me over the edge and cause me to throw my temper at her.) But seriously, I dun like to quarrel/fight with her, after all, she's my one and only mom. However, in some way, I do love her and appreciate the stuff and actions she does for me. Although, she claimed to me a couple of times, she has never loved me as her daughter compared to my younger sis. But I hope some day, she will at least keep a small percentage of her love for me. For that, I would really appreciate and treasure her love with me for the rest of my life.

Anway, got my timetable.. It's so jammed pack, with additional cds subjects including French (my favourite) and Understanding Art (What the hell is TAT?) OK... I attended U-Art lecture today. Basically, the lecturer will go through a few paintings each week and we are suppose to interpret what message are the paintings trying to convey to the audience. It was really tough. I was so lost. I did study tis stuff way back in secondary school and I totally suck at it!!!! Looks like I may have to borrow some art books about the different artists and get some general knowledge before I get lost again.

Hmm... will post up some pics tml.
